At the beginning of her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University Adelaide had the fortune of meeting Natalie Perkins on a Nitro Circus tour, and grabbed the opportunity to learn from the master and get plenty of hands on experience treating the crazy Nitro boys and girls.
She accompanied Natalie on a number of Nitro Circus tours throughout New Zealand, Europe, Australia and the USA whilst completing her physio qualification and joined the team at Bodyworks immediately upon graduating.
Before becoming a Physiotherapist, Adelaide had a long dance career including many international positions. She fulfilled big dreams by dancing on stage at the Moulin Rouge in Paris in 2004, on TV in Rome in 2007, in small cabaret shows throughout Europe and Asia and performing and working as the dance captain on Sydney Showboats since 2010.
Having worked in an industry that is physically gruelling a decade, Adelaide has practiced the Pilates Method of movement training for many years and studied in Stott Pilates in 2010 to gain her accreditation as a Pilates instructor. Her abundant knowledge of the practical and theoretical aspects of human movement combined with her physiotherapy training, dance background and Pilates skills make her a significant asset to the Bodyworks team.
In her spare time Adelaide teaches the challenging Xtend Barre exercise classes at their Mona Vale studio and still dons the feathers and head dresses on the dance floor for Sydney Showboats! As the manager of Bodyworks Manly she has also been forced to take up CrossFit so her can-can is going to be bigger and better than ever!!!
