Lachie joined the Bodyworks team whilst he was studying Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University, undertaking clinical experience as well as assisting with the Terrey Hills Soccer Club matches. Upon graduating he transitioned seamlessly to join the Bodyworks staff and has been with the team ever since.
He is passionate about helping people get better, to optimize their health and ultimately achieve their goals. He has assisted athletes from all levels from local sports teams to professional athletes in various sports including covering XGames in Sydney in 2018. Lachie has been a competitive swimmer and is well known in the northern Beaches region for his tireless work with Surf Lifesaving, particularly for the Manly Surf Lifesaving Club.
Lachie has taken a particular interest in Blood Flow Restriction Training, a new and effective method of achieving rapid strength gains with minimal effort and he regularly runs group and individual sessions using this method.
His swimming background has also given him the perfect platform to create shoulder rehabilitation programs using both blood flow restriction training and the Crossover Symmetry exercise system. These unique programs in conjunction with manual therapy have proven very effective in the treatment of shoulder tendinitis, rotator cuff problems and frozen shoulder as well as sports specific rehabilitation for swimmers and baseballers.
